The Requirements
To be a good fit for Equipment Delivery Driver role, you will have:- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). Quick question for you - click here
- A clean driving record with no accidents or other DOT violations.
- Between 2 and 3 years of CDL driving experience.
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds and maneuver heavy equipment.
- Excellent customer relation skills and a professional appearance.
- The ability to read/follow maps, routes and GPS system.
The Role
Reporting to the Body Shop Manager as the Equipment Delivery Driver for Dickinson Fleet Services, your primary responsibility will be delivering a variety of commercial vehicles to our customers. Most of the time, deliveries will take place in the region, meaning you will not need to cross state lines. However, there may be times you are asked to complete longer hauls. Typically, another driver will follow you to the delivery location and provide transportation back to the shop although this will vary, depending on the situation. More specifically, you will:- Safely deliver vehicles to our customers by adhering to all traffic laws.
- Keep track of your time with integrity.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate great customer service skills while interacting with customers.
- Ensure the condition of the cab is in good repair (e.g. remember to remove beverages at delivery.)
- Lend a hand around the shop if on the clock, sweeping or taking out trash, as needed.

Though we hope to deliver vehicles to customers in a timely fashion, safety of yourself and others on the road should be a top priority, above all else.
While you are in the shop, you demonstrate good rapport with technicians and management. As this is an hourly position, we appreciate if you would help out with small tasks in between deliveries.
