The Requirements
To be a good fit for the Body Shop Painter role, you will have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on automotive paint experience; any related experience and/or training would also be helpful (such as body experience). Quick question for you - click here
- Basic hand tools you bring to work every day or leave at the shop.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company insurance standards.
- The ability to regularly lift or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
Though this is generally a first shift role, you should be willing to work overtime on a regular basis and should be flexible in your schedule with the possibility to work into second shift if needed.
The Role
This role is just as you would expect: You’ll paint various parts of vehicles, including hoods, fenders, cabs, box sides, and more, in accordance with factory and dealership specification standards.

- Paint vehicles, based on the provided estimate, while upholding factory standards.
- Check paint color codes against the vehicle tag to ensure the proper colors are used.
- Prep vehicles for paintwork, including taping and sanding when needed.
