The Requirements
To be a good fit for the Parts Assistant opportunity, you will have:

- Experience in the trucking industry preferred
- A strong understanding of parts terminology Quick question for you - click here
- Experience posting and receiving invoices and inventory through a software platform
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfort with technology
- A team player mentality with a willingness to go beyond your job description and do what needs to be done
- Organization, prioritization, detail and time management skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal guidance on a daily basis
- Forklift training and certification preferred
- A high school diploma or equivalent
Your Role
Reporting to the Parts Manager, and working at our Pennsburg shop, you will be responsible for keeping the shop moving by ordering, tracking, entering and providing parts as needed to make truck and trailer repairs. You will:
- Order needed parts from our approved vendors as quickly and cheaply as possible so our techs never have to worry
- Work in our ordering system. We get multiple parts deliveries each day, rather than keeping a large inventory
- Be part of the shipping and receiving process, monitoring deliveries and sometimes even using a forklift to bring them in
- Perform cycle counts and other audits
- Match pricing and invoices
- Work with vendors on delivery, pricing, tracking, etc.
- Collaborate with the team, ensuring you have the right information to speak knowledgeably to vendors

- Manage multiple activities and priorities effectively
