The Requirements
To be a good fit for the Entry Level Body Shop Technician role, you will have:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year years of related experience and/or training.
- Must have your own tools.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company insurance standards.
- The ability to regularly lift or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds.
Additionally, you should willing to work overtime on a regular basis (approximately 50 hours per week) and should be flexible in your schedule, possibly working a second shift if needed.
Day in the Life
It's what you would expect: You'll assist and train in the repairing of body damage to vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specification standards. More specifically, you will:
- Repair vehicles, based on the provided estimate while upholding factory standards.
- Check parts against the estimate to ensure the proper items are both ordered and received.
- Prep vehicles for body work.
- Maintain company tools and equipment to ensure proper working order.
- And more.
